Touch n Paint

Brushes is a natural media painting application designed from scratch for the iPhone and iPod touch. Featuring an advanced color picker, several realistic brushes, extreme zooming, and a simple yet deep interface, it is a powerful tool for creating original artwork on your mobile device.

Brushes allows you to choose any color (including transparency) using the hue/saturation color wheel. With virtually unlimited undo and redo you never need to worry about making a mistake or backing up too far.

Starting in version 1.1, Brushes records all of your actions when painting. These actions are stored in a .brushes file which you can download directly from your iPhone or iPod touch via Brushes’ built-in web server.

You can open your .brushes paintings in Brushes Viewer, a free application for Mac OS X. Brushes Viewer allows you to replay your paintings stroke for stroke, export them at very high resolutions (up to 1920 x 2880), and even export them as QuickTime movies.

OS 3.0: Re-Downloading Costs

pay twice

With the new iPhone 3.0 software Apple aims to save a bit of  bandwidth of Mobile Companies by charging users for Re- Downloading an App that they have paid for but may have deleted. It is to be noted that this Re Downloading Cost is applicable only in On the GO cases when you use your iPhone or iPod Touch to connect to the App Store. If you were to use your iTunes and your MAC for the same purpose you can easily redownload without paying a penny.

Though some people would end up paying twice for the App despite the warning message. However, the real motive behind this surprise hitch in otherwise sweet OS 3.0 is more aimed to reduce the Network Load than make the user suffer. What I cannot understand is why not restrict the usage to WiFi mode only than block it altogether?
